A few years ago, post-pandemic. What a time. I was comfortably working my tech job, making a decent income (full transparency), and running this vintage biz as a side hustle. Eventually, though, it slipped to the wayside. Then, out of the blue, an assistant wardrobe stylist reached out about the film Love & Death. Like oh my goodness! I’m a total film buff, and she was shopping for a dark comedy/crime film?! I’ve always loved period pieces, so this was right up my alley. Such a classic LA moment but I definitely didn’t expect to get that call while living in Austin, Texas. Of all the places, this stylist found me on one of my selling platforms, Etsy. Totally random, and not Instagram… 🤷🏻♀️
At the time, I had a ton of 70s and 80s pieces, blouses, dresses, all the good stuff. Funny how you can leave Hollywood, but it never really leaves you. Somehow, they always come find me. I was beyond excited. I don’t remember exactly what she picked, it was kind of a whirlwind, but it was a big garbage bag full of secretary-style gems from that sweet 70s–80s era. I’m not sure what actually made it into the film, but the wardrobe was meant for some church scenes. Still super cool. Just wanted to share a few outfits in this post that I thought were cute! You never know who you’ll meet, so I always keep my heart open to the magic of possibility. When you stay grateful, rooted in the moment, and clear about the path you’re meant to follow, the universe has a way of guiding you there.
I kind of recognize the striped turtleneck on Elizabeth Olsen, but who knows? 🤔
with a whole lotta Love,
